RALPH M. BROWN 1893-1977 AKA Ralph Myron Brown

 

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES via email from Lisa Foote, 5-15-04      I have lots of information about Ralph Brown, for he was my great uncle. His scrapbook was given to he Air and Space Museum in Washington and it contains mostly newspaper clippings about his life. I have yet to find the album of original photographs which were used for the articles.      Briefly, he learned to fly in Bath, NY. He had quit flying by WWI, worked for Thomas Brothers in Ithaca making airplanes for WWI, worked a brief stint at Old Town Canoe in Maine, and finally became president of Penn Yan Boats in Penn Yan, NY, where he lived until his death. Brown, is postmarked DALLAS, TEX., JULY 5, 1933. It has been donated through the courtesy of Stéphane Sebile.

Luckey, Damon Merrill, Harvey Mummert, Hugh Robinson, Blanch S. Scott, Windy Smith, Francis Wildman, J. Newton Williams, and others, including a number of student pilots from Japan.
